The Mole Valley Silver Band plays varied brass band music in and around the
towns of Leatherhead and Dorking in the Mole Valley area of
Surrey. The band consists of amateur brass players drawn from the
area. We are always keen to recruit new members and we welcome enquiries from players in all
sections. Come along and give us a try.
The band is available throughout the year for
engagements such as concerts,
fetes and parties. Contact us for your function.
Our Musical Director, Andrew Wilson, is pictured below. Andrew has wide experience in the brass band world. As a tuba
player he has performed in contests at all levels, he has been Musical
Director of a number of bands, is active in the Southern Counties Brass
Band Association and is also a teacher of brass instruments.
We meet for rehearsals on Monday evenings at the Fetcham Reading Room,
Leatherhead, which is 2miles from junction 9 on the M25 (see
map). If
you would like to join us for a few rehearsals and consider
membership, contact us, we would be pleased to hear from you.
The band has a long history in the area. Read
